VirtualStudy stores only your role (Student or Teacher), selected subject, and grade level. These preferences are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.
If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password so you can sign in and access Pro features. We never store your password in plain text.
When you generate content or chat with the AI Tutor, your input (topic, subject, grade, and tool type) is sent to our API server to produce a response. We do not store your queries or results on our servers after the response is delivered.
Pro subscriptions are processed by Chapa, our payment provider. Payment details are handled by Chapa under their privacy policy; we store only the subscription status and transaction reference needed to provide access.
Content you save to your library is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It is never uploaded or shared.
AI responses are generated via OpenAI's API. Queries are subject to OpenAI's usage policies. Payments are handled by Chapa. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
VirtualStudy is designed for students from Grade 5 (approximately age 11) and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from younger children.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time at https://virtualstudyai.com/api/account-deletion.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of VirtualStudy constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
